Fortunately(or otherwise) I have access to a machine shop and some training. I did not have a drawing, just an idea of what it should look like.

You must have a machine shop. Clever.

Hello all,
I am looking for the wiring routing for 1970 model.
I failed to take photos of routing.
I need front core support near radiator.
I also need firewall routing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

General Discussion / Re: The Last Pagoda
« Last post by MikeSimon on June 10, 2025, 17:44:20 »
I sometimes comment on BAT auction Pagodas but not very often. It seems there's just so many, and the level of interest in quality commentary from potential buyers so low, that it doesn't seem to be very worthwhile. You're up against people like dollycat who for some reason shower praise on each and every car on offer no matter the condition (but never bid or buy anything themselves). Then final sales prices often seem to have surprisingly little relation to the condition of the cars.
But, in terms of capturing useful info from BAT for the database - that does make sense.

I haven't been there in a while, although I occasionally found details of W113 descriptions and photos interesting, especially if you work on your own car and need some information. The dollycat guy bugged me too. It looks like he copies and pastes the same comment over and over. Usually "what a beauty" and "sumptuous interior". If he has something else to say, it is usually copied from the internet. I think he wants to be the No1 commentator on BaT. Maybe they give out a price at the end of the year. I think he showed up here for a short period of time, I recognized his comment, that he was "helping in restoring a 280SL and a 6.3L (?)". Now he has turned into an expert in quite a lot fo classic cars.

Research & Development / Re: Replacing brake booster with electronic assembly
« Last post by Leester on June 10, 2025, 16:47:51 »
"Hi Leester, I have a manual but I'm not planning to change the pedal itself. The brake booster should bolt onto the firewall with an adapter. I only have the clutch reservoir next to the brake booster, there should be plenty of space."

Interesting - in my 63 I have both the clutch reservoir and the clutch MC next to brake booster. My "research" to date consists of looking at a couple of U-tube videos so I think you're deeper into this than I. I agree that you will have to fabricate an adapter and maybe that will resolve any clearance issues in the engine compartment.

"I'm hoping that I will get the right amount of travel out of the existing brake pedal linkage to power the new booster. Am I being too optimistic?"  I can't help you with that question. I'm almost always too optimistic about everything I undertake.

Good luck and obviously you have one follower and supporter.
