Hey James

I still have a few more, I'll have to dust off.

I think a classic like the Pargoda looks great in a classic or timeless setting.

Somehow a 1995 toyota corolla sitting next to it would take away the effect wouldn't u say

Rob, just great photos, what was the resolution you used for the large photo as when I try to scale mine down to 80mb the photo ends up being really small.

Hey Rob

I resize my pics in Microsoft Office Picture Manager.  There is no reference to Resolution or DPI.  I simple rescale the pic as a percentage downwards until it gets below the 80kb.  The measurement that I see in this program is x pixels by x pixels,   Most of my pics are between 400 and 600 pixels wide I am posting  Saying that I have a 5meg camera, but most of my original pics are 1meg to 3meg as  I thing 5 meg are to big to email, post, store particularly when u have thousands of them.  I'm pretty happy with my 1 meg pics

Hope that all makes sense

heres another pic  507pixel x 379 pixel

Hey Kemal

They certainly are furry. Yep Sheepskin.  The previous owner was good about ensuring the Carpet, Seats and boot deck remain unmarked, and covered.  When removed it all looks like new!

Great car, great pictures. But what do you expect living in a place like Sydney... :D

For help on inserting and resizing pictures, have a look at the FAQ: http://www.sl113.org/forums/faq.asp#GetForum.

Beautiful car you have there Rob !

Isn't Sydney a great backdrop for classic cars. You must be close by to me as I recognised most of the locations. I'm based in Rose Bay. Hoping to have my 230SL back on the road by Christmas. might see you out on the road one day !

Best Regards

Hey Frank

Sydney certainly isn't short of great backdrops, thats for sure.  And if I'm near a good one, I pull up and grab a pic.  Have  taken plenty of pics of my car and quickly noted that pics in the driveway or amongst other cars are not near as flattering as that of a  good backdrop

I had a look at one of your pages and appears you have quite a restoration project going. And yours is black I believe. it will be good to see some pics of your car by the ocean

That's right Rob, my '66 will be a glossy black exterior together with the black interior. I'm just in the process of putting in the new carpet, retrimming seats, connecting electricals, etc.

Aim is to have her done by Xmas. Then you might spot me around Vaucluse, Watson's Bay, etc taking a few snaps !

Best Regards
