Hand brake questions
« on: September 29, 2021, 12:41:36 »
Having just refurbished my hand brake..I have two questions…
In the picture,I’m guessing that there should be something to stop the spring dropping all the wat through..some kind of collar…it’s not inside ,therefore I can only conclude it was lost at the chromers ..can it be replaced or a substitute used?

Secondly.. I found this rubber u shaped piece and retaining clip lying in the tunnel where the cable enters on the floor…is it meant to be attached to the bottom of the hand brake itself?

Easy to take things apart…not so easy to put them back again…

Yes…that is exactly what I need…now to try and find one..maybe I could fashion one using a washer and bolt and some epoxy as a stop gap…
Thank you
