throudle/idle control adj.

let's not discuss who I got here.......?? let's just say I need help badly...
I have disonnected the throudle control on the side of the pump and
now I am way out of adjustment???? the spring is off the whole thing
is a mess. I have no one to help, except a haynes manual.
Please help. I need to get this arm back on and the shaft it rides on
in the correct position.

Sorry to hear about your trouble.  Here are some pics I took of my car. I hope they help.  I've not taken the linkage off the pump myself but I'll be happy to help all I can.

I am affraid I did not make myself clear. the arm that is attached to the shaft, going into the pump (like the one's you have taken photo's of) is off? and how do I determaine how to set the correct postion to attach it. and how do I know how to put this shaft back into the correct position?

thanks to everyone......I have removed my pump and discovered the problem. I think it is now fixed and I will reinstall it tommorrow. wish me luck.

Yu can't fix this yourself despite advice that says you can. It's one of those things that you should never touch like a nest of killer bees.
Take the pump off and have it calibrated or rebuilt depending on what it needs.
