Wiring the Radio Becker Europa
« on: July 15, 2025, 00:50:42 »
My 1970 280SL has a Becker Europa which has only one wire on my radio and I'm just wondering if I can wire it into one of the pins on the ignition switch.

The power wire for the radio comes from an auxiliary fuse box on the right side of the engine compartment.  The wire would come through the firewall behind the glove box.

You can wire it to any position that has 12V, the radio chassi is the ground and the antenna is the normal grounding on old cars.
I have connected my radio to the aux fuse that has constant 12v and aded a switch so I can shut off the power to eliminat drain of the battety on case I’ve missed to turn of anny connected item, works fine for me.
