All I'd have to do next is to find an old-fashioned engraver....not easy. Any clues?
I went through this exercise some years ago with my own car. The variable data on these plates is embossed, not engraved; at least that’s how the originals are. The classic center was selling reproductions, but these reproductions were engraved, not embossed.
To solve this dilemma, I purchased my replacement data plate without any data on it! I then found a company in the United States that makes embossing machines, and for a small fee they embossed my plate and that’s what’s on my car now.
For accuracy, I also purchased a small pop rivet gun as the plates were riveted on, not screwed.
