Hood rod tension
« on: November 03, 2022, 02:24:34 »
Hello all,

I'm up to installing the hood tension rod and reading the many previous posts on this subject I can see that some have had to do a full 360° tension on theirs whilst others only 180°.

Obviously the tension bars appear to be of varying strengths but I also wonder if the earlier rods also have different angles between the right and left.  You can see on mine when on no tension my left and right are more than 90° apart whilst I've noticed on others the angles are almost the same.

Not sure if I'm keen at all on doing a 360° tension on mine!!!!

Thoughts anyone?

Rgds, Joe

Ps, red photo is mine and the black is from another
