Hey everyone can someone show me a video on how to drain my Engine oil on my pagoda. I can’t find a video anywhere or if it’s possible if someone could let me know how to do it thanks

Couple hints:  Get the biggest container that will fit under the car as the oil comes out very quick if you remove the plug entirely so unless you hold the plug partially in the hole to slow the flow, oil comes out in a real hurry so you need to have a container with adequate volume.

make sure when you put the oil filter housing back fitting in the flange/ groove properly while you tighten it up otherwise oil will spew all over everything when you start it up and you have to start over while working in a puddle of fresh oil.

Have lots of paper towel and kitty litter handy incase you spill.   

Easier if you have a hoist or up on jack stands so you can crawl under

I have a hoist and still end up real messy once in a while.

It is sometimes easy to miss item 37 on the diagram in the tech manual. This is a rubber seal in the piece that stays attached to the engine. It sometimes goes missing and is essential for proper oil circulation.

It does not come with the oil filter, and needs to be purchased separately.

Also be sure to check that you have removed the o-ring from the top of the filter housing. It is easy to remove with an angled-tip pick. If you don't pull it out and put another on top of it, you can crack the housing when tightening it down.

I think you meant " filtration " but yeah, it's a very important internal seal.

As we are talking about a very basic DIY process, that seems to be not so familiar to some, I think it needs to be pointed out that you should change the oil after you warm up the engine. You want as much contaminants as possible suspended in the oil in order to drain them out. Watch for the hot engine and the hot oil when draining.

Hi guys, on the topic of oil changes - Where do you typically get your filters from  - Mann? Mahle?
And you order from from Pelican or do you find you can get the correct p/n from standard/local auto parts stores?
