W113 front brake caliper repair kit

Can anyone tell me if the front brake caliper repair kit on a W113 is the same as any other merc model?

Hello Mohan, you don't tell us which model you have and there may be differences. At least some 230SLs had Girling calipers. I am not familiar with these calipers but it seems that many of the Girling calipers have been replaced with ATE calipers.

Most later 250SL and 280SLs have ATE calipers and I believe all front ATE calipers (at least for W113s) have 57mm pistons. The ATE part number for the 57mm ATE caliper kit is 13.0441-5718.2. (at least that's what my caliper kit is marked). I'm quite sure that that W108s of the era used the same caliper kit.

Looks like SLS part #   242015 is the ATE kit at 66.56 euros and 242815 is an aftermarket kit at 28.98 euros each. If you need the If you need the Girling kit it looks like they also have that. Hope this helps.

Apologies for not stating my model. Mine is the 250SL. Thanks for the information. Its really helpful. Reason why i asked is when i bought the front wheel bearings, the guy gave me the 115 model bearings. When i asked he said they are the same.

I have not checked my 72 220D lately 115 Chasis , I believe the calipers are the same.

When I put old part number of front caliper (A 001 421 02 98 or 03 98) or new part number (A 001 421 81 98 or 82 98), the system shows a lot of versions form 108, 109, 110, 111, 113 (certainly), 114 and 115.

I think whichever vendor you use, a 230, 250, 280SL will bring a higher price.
So if I am correct about the 115 chasis the price might be lower.
It is only a guess.
