Decoding my chassis number

Hi all,

How do i get info from my chassis number. I would like to know the original paint, interior etc. Cant seem to find this. I have signed up as full member & paid up about two weeks ago.

 Welcome, what you really need is the Mercedes Data Card that is available from the Classic Centre in Irvine California.  There will be a fee to supply it but it will give you all the details that your car was delivered with.  Look here in the Tech Manual  https://www.sl113.org/wiki/DataCard/DataCards

You can get the body and hard top colour codes from the colour plate in your enging bay as well as the Data Card.

 All the Vin Number will tell you is the model, Left or Right hand, Manual or Auto and its production number in the last six digits. https://www.sl113.org/wiki/DataCard/VIN

Have a good read through this part of the Tech Manual at all the codes and combinations and how to read them on the different plates and Data Cards.
