Bulbs remplacement by LEDS
« on: February 09, 2020, 18:15:36 »
I am fitting new LEDS bulbs  during this Rainy storming Sunday….
First  taking off the glass, it's easier with a brass wire and a shaft with avoid finger injury :
You have only to pull the wire and then push the tab backward out of the glass

The new LED have a  metallic adaptator ring in which 3 tabs must be located. You must cut the outside of the 3 tabs  before fitting :

Then you can fit the bulb holder with the bulb on the casing:

Before fitting the whole headlight on the car i Wonder if i must put some sealant in the groove of the rubber seal before ?
(after a good cleaning of course…) it seems that there was Nothing in the groove when i have taken the old seal off

I replaced with LEDs in 2017. There is no need to remove the glass.

The seal between the glass and the "casing" was cracked and dried ….also i wanted to check the paint behind the headlight ( 10 years without a visit…) :-\ and i found a paint Bubble at the Bottom so i'll have some paint work before it becomes worse...
