Got an old Becker?
« on: November 13, 2008, 17:30:04 »
I have foubd someone in the UK who can "update" it.

I asked a question and got the following response...

"I can do all you list in your email,i have attatched a couple of jpg photos of a british and german radios.I can
supply these ready converted to AM/FM,stereo ,2-4 speakers,  50 watts rms/speaker ,with the facillity to run an
input from any type of player, ie,cd,tape,ipod,mp3,dab,xm,etc.

Externally you will not be able to tell the difference and all the existing controls work as they did when made.

Cost wise the moded radio would be £325.0p,this would include base connectivity for ipod, also inbuilt 5
volt usb charger.

Delivery, aprx 28 days from your order.

www.radios.freeserve.co.uk  for more  details."

One of thr 2 pics he sent was of a Europa II

No connection to this fellow other than the email (and my web search to find him). Seeing as we often have chats about keeping an old unit but "improving it", this may be a solution. I think he rips the guts out and puts a new unit in it...
