Hardtop vinyl
« on: August 27, 2008, 06:00:03 »
Did a search and dug nothing up so...

My hardtop vinyl is coming away from the top. It's where the vinyl fixes to the rear of the quarter light [window] - as in not around the rear window wood. Beneath the vinyl is bare metal.

Any idea on a decent adhesive to bead down the edge. It's only half a cm in width but quite a length and I want to make sure it's stuck before it gets damaged

Thanks

3M makes a contact adhesive that you apply to both surfaces and then press together to make the joint. I know it is used on vinyl and leather and other interior surfaces. I believe it is available in both a spray-on and tube container.
