Have a look in the Technical Manual for all available original colours... http://www.sl113.org/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=DataCard.PaintCodes

The colour you'd be looking for is 180 G.

Scroll to almost the bottom. It will look great with your red interior.

It's on the same page of the Technical Manual at the top. Two suppliers. Most modern paint shops can computer match the paint also and mix it themselves.

None.  DB = Diamler Benz, meaning a genuine Mercedes color.  The G in 180G is for Glasurit, the manufacturer of the paint.  Some MB (DB) paints were made by Glasurit, some by H = Herberts.

Skyline,

I'm not sure if you'll find Glasurit in Qatar, but I'm pretty confident you'll be able to match 180G using another brand of paint. Any decent body shop should have resources to create that particular color. It's a very gray shade of silver that's fairly distinctive.

Hi Skyline, I am currently doing something similar -- I need my local paint guy to match a specific MB color. What I am doing is taking him the Glasurit formula (in my case 332G -- dark blue) from the Glasurit website (see our tech manual wiki under paint)... I bet you could do the same in your country.

Glasurit Home Page:
http://www.glasurit.com

Paint Codes:
http://www.glasurit.com/COLOR/new-color-online/m1frameset.php?language=1
- Type 180 in the "Code" box in top left.
- Use the "Manufacturer" drop down list to choose Mercedes.
- Click the Start Search button.
- Click on the color listed.
- You will see "Paint Line" info in the bottom left corner.  Is this "formula" of which James Huber speaks?

Yes Rodd, if you then highlight the "paint line" i.e. Glasurit Line 55 -- then hit next. You get the mixing amounts. This is kind of new to me as well, but I think this is the info the painter would need. Anybody else know for sure?

I finally decided on a color for my 113, 670 light ivory.
I provided my bodyshop with the paint code and the paint mix formula from our website information as well as from several other sources.

For some reason ??? the samples that they painted all looked a bit too yellow.  I ended up having them scan my steering wheel and they used a combination of the original mix formula with info from the wheel.  I'll obtain the exact formula mix and post it along side the original mix.  I am sure its very close, but probably a drop less ochre?

The real issue with paint matching may be in the type of paint, single stage, vs base/clear?

The end result for my color is light ivory (not yellow, not appliance white), but a real nice classic, very rich light ivory....

181 Light Beige :x
Ok, so it's close... Not that light beige is a terrible color, I just didnt care for it... ;) .  My 113, when finished, will be like a beautiful lady, just without the tan... 8)

Bob-

What color did you wind up with for your carpet? And where did you get it?

Hello Patrick,

I have not decided yet on new carpet.  It will be awhile before I will need to.  By the time I get the body shell back and get it back together (months)....  carpet will be one of the last items to install.
Hopefully by that time I will be able to afford new carpet.  Doing a resto is really adding up $$$.  I may just lay tile....?

Thanks,
Bob

It's different in formula because of the quantity that gets made. I'd go for the medium quantity -- cause then you'll have enough, and the corresponding line.
