Droopy sunvisors
« on: December 05, 2007, 14:13:39 »
Hi. Is there a quick fix for droopy sunvisors as an alternative to getting new ones? Looks like the hardware inside the visors have worn out so just wanted to check if anyone has any tips before going in and taking a look. Also, is there anywhere to get replacement sunvisor hardware only, without buying the whole visors? Thanks much.

tightening the screw a bit on the visor normally sorts it out. careful not to overtighten

The least expensive way I found is to purchase a set of reproduction visors from Kay in the UK.  The quality is spot on.  Take a look in the classified section.

Thanks. Tightening the screw worked for my left sunvisor, but my right has a bit of corrosion on some of the hardware and won't get tight enough to stay up. So I'll probably have to look at ordering some of those reproductions sometime.
