Spal Blower Specs
« on: October 21, 2007, 07:42:13 »
There are twelve different 2-wheel blowers currently on the SPAL USA site and they differ by outside dimensions.  I want to have all the parts on the shelf before begining a total disassembly of the dash, so I can't measure mine yet.

I have searched for threads about A/C blowers and everyone seems to say, "I don't have the Spal item number...". Does anyone have the model number or the dimesions?

Ray,

To replace the A/C blower I used a FASCO Model DC135 motor. In order to use it with the MB switch I had to change 2 wires which is very minor.

Specs on the motor.  13.5V 12.3 AMPS 4200RPM

Ray,

I have this number someplace and I believe if you dig around in the posts you will find it there. I will need to look around. The SPAL makes a big difference in the blower output.

Ray,

The SPAL unit I used is 006-A40-22-12V. I could not find this model on the SPAL site but you may be able to contact them directly and find out what the equivalent is now. It looks like they've either changed their numbering system or they've upgrades some of their previous models. Hope this helps.

I believe SPAL has changed their numbers.  The previous 006-A40-22 (double wheel 12V blower) is now 30006707.  This unit moves 600CFM at 26 amps.
