Can any one tell me where the temp/relay box is located? This is the one that goes to enrichment valve on the intake. 67 250sl Auto

Hello Darryl,

On the 250SL, the relay for the intake enrichment valve is at the hood opening on the driver's side (left side) next to the windshield wiper washer bag. Next to it is the relay for the enrichment solenoid on the injection pump and another larger relay for the windshield wipers. Most likely your version will look like this:

There is a small pod attached to the cylinder head between spark plug #1 and sparkplug #2 It has a coolant line attached, the bulb for the temperature guage and the thermotime switch which activates the relay and the enrichment solenoid on your car. Only the early 230SLs have the "thermo switch"

On my early (>vin#2979) 250sl, the relay for the CSV solenoid (inlet manifold) is the one closest to the radiator and the one in the mddle is for the Inj pump solenoid.

Possibly changed by someone in the past.
