In an episode of the Tim Allen comedy series “Home Improvement” (S7E6) first aired November 1997, about half way into the show they are discussing which classic cars one would like. Tim Allen’s sidekick Al says an ALfa Romeo. No, he says, a Cadillac AL-Dorado. Or, an AL-Camino…he ends with “how about a Mercedes-Benz 280 S-AL”
First time I’ve HEARD but not seen such a specific Pagoda reference.
