It would be best to not delete your posting when sold.

- It helps others know the kinds of things you sell.  People might directly reach out when looking for specific things.
- It helps people shopping for parts know what the market (price) is, or has been (trends) for specific parts.

Also, there's a separate forum for vendors.  You've posted a lot of items.  Do you have a website where people can shop?

Every post of his is buying or selling parts, so I would expect responses.  Not good business otherwise.

This post from Dec 2011, I've seen no updates to the commercial policy since then:

"The Board of Directors of the Pagoda SL Group has, in it's board meeting of 5/6 December 2011 decided to make some practical modifications to the commercial vendor policy, which apply to the Commercial Advertising forum, the Ebay and other vendor experiences forum, and to Vendor membership.
For Sale postings can only be made by Full Members
When the Board of Directors or a Moderator identifies such a posting as belong to a commercial effort, the post is moved to the Commercial Advertising sector, and the member's status is changed to Vendor so that he/she can be identified as such
As long as the Vendor remains a Full Member in good standing (i.e. membership is paid up, no items are advertised/offered for sale in sections other than the Commercial Advertising section) they will remain a vendor with posting rights in the Commercial Advertising section.

Vendors not currently full members have until the end of December 2011 to become full members.

Additionally, for general use on the forum with respect to vendors, vendor experiences, and conflict resolution:
We shall moderate away defamatory remarks, and statements/claims that cannot be checked by us as factual
We shall remove comments on vendors in the eBay and other vendor experiences forum after a period (12-18 months) to give vendors the opportunity to re-establish their reputation (as has happened with some in the past) without being haunted by comments dating back to e.g. 2006
Postings in the For Sale forum or in the Commercial Advertising forum may be removed by moderators without warning after a 6 month period or when the item is no longer available.

But perhaps this policy has been modified since we have several associate (not full) members who all they do is sell, or buy and sell, items and they never or almost never participate in any other way. Thinking about the person in Belgium who is always offering fog lights, someone in San Diego selling all manner of 'NOS' parts, and the OP here in Germany. I do feel the least they could do is join as full menbers in exchange for getting access to this customer base.

I’m in total agreement that if someone advertises here they should be full members.   For those who only post items for sale and don’t post otherwise, that poses a problem.  One, they should be vetted to be sure they’re legit and two,  they should be charged a fee for each item listed.

The Board of Directors will have a meeting after Pagoda Fest in the fourth quarter.

As president, I will propose that both buying and selling on this forum be restricted to full members only. Our annual membership fee of $30 is quite literally a pittance compared to other clubs. In addition, it is an amount less than some single listings that people must pay on other sites. So if somebody wants to sell or buy items, they can join as a full member.

Like you I have not received what I ordered.  Ive tried contacting the seller to no avail.  At this point I’m assuming that I’ve been scammed.  One more reason why only paid members should be allowed to sell here.

I cannot seem to find the post I made the other day.

Based on these complaints about this one vendor, I have deleted his membership. As his membership was an unpaid associate membership I have absolutely no problem in doing so particularly when full members have not had proper communication back from this associate member. I have zero tolerance for no communication and I mean zero. Anybody can hit the return key and anybody can send an email in seconds so there is no allowable excuse for that and thus he has been deleted.

If he turns out to be legitimate, he can come back pay the $30 and join as a full member.

Our membership fee is so ridiculously low so low in fact that there is no car club anywhere that has such a low membership fee and certainly none with the benefits we offer.

We will be instituting a policy upon my directive that there will be nothing listed for sale except by full paying members. Right now we’re in the middle of Pagota Fest so there are other things on my agenda.

The vendor requested "Friends and Family," as have others in the past who delivered the goods.  NO PROTECTION.

I have noted a number of Associate members who have made sale posts since the weekend - I thought there was to be a new policy that Full Members can post For Sale messages ?

It only costs $30 to join……
