From what I can see quite a few postal services throughout Europe are taking similar action.  From posts on other automotive forums to which I subscribe it appears postal service shipping to the USA has also been suspended from the UK, Netherlands and Germany, and probably other countries as well.

It seems small value packages are still ok, at least from France they are, under EUR 86 (which equates to approx USD 100).

The number of countries that have suspended shipping packages to the US is now 25.

This is absolute nonsense. One could hire a private plane to courier the piece from Palermo to the USA for $10,000. That is a price put in by the seller to discourage overseas shipping. I have seen that done on more than one occasion. Best to simply not deal with any international sales.

But, aside from that, eBay is notorious for having bad shipping calculations. Not that bad, but bad.

I do not blame the international postal services for halting shipments to the USA. We have nothing but chaos in almost everything that the administration is touching. Customs and tariffs and valuations of imports are top of the list.
