Hello,
Restoring 1970 280sl,
New lower radiator hose is resting on pulley for dealer installed AC.
I noticed the old hose also had some abrasion marks.
There is a small sheet metal bracket that was attached to the bottom of air filter canister. Is this used to relocate hose slightly away?

Thanks
1970

Yes.  It was on a 70 280sl that I recently worked on.
