Mike, are these for your 230?  I thought 230SLs had all red lenses.  Maybe that's outside the US?  No pic in top post, is this a different set than in the other thread where several pics are shown?

Yes, my all-red originals are developing cracked lenses, so these may come in handy.  I respect originality but do find, after replacing the original red lenses, that amber turn signals on my MGs generate a little more attention with the tailgaters behind . . .

It is a different set from the NOS set in a different post. I think when the seller edited this post for very good condition 230SL tail lamp lenses (and also the Topic title) to say the parts are sold he may have inadvertently deleted the photos.

Of COURSE the amber turn signals generate more attention; it's what most of today's drivers expect to see. So safety over everything else, if you are driving.

Would you seriously drive an older VW beetle with semaphore flags (lighted or not) sticking out of the B pillar, instead of lighted, blinking directionals where people expect to see them, and expect people to pay attention? One of the very first things I did during the restoration years ago was get a set of later style amber directionals and sold the red ones that were on my car.

When my family lived in Germany in the early 1960's I remember some cars had lighted semaphore flags that actually wagged up and down while activated. Got my seven-year-old attention!
