Looking for MB tex (red?) for a W113 of 1964 + sunvisors (ivory?) OEM quality

I just bought a restored W113 but I am trying to correct all the mistakes made during the restoration. Can you give me the references of some suppliers who can provide me with the products in question? I am not sure about the interior color, so I am attaching a photo. Thanks

Tough deal on the sun visors, I have tried no less than five suppliers since making a thread on this late last year. The most acceptable have been from this company in Belgium: https://www.ebay.com/str/vwbtrading

There are a few suppliers from Turkey that all are using the same source and those visors look/feel like cardboard with a thin layer of upholstery. That's Bamboli and others that you'll see around. A shame, since they get the heat sealing perfect. I still have my original messed up visors, and the originals had some of that coconut husk-type material inside as well as a thin layer of something else, like a foam. They were puffier than what you can find. Lots of threads on here about sun visors. And we're not the only ones with this issue. BMW guys, Ferrari guys, basically everyone has an issue finding "correct" heat-sealed visors. I am shocked that there is not a company doing this well.

As for your seat upholstery, what is the color code on your data card?

Thank you for your prompt response. I have already purchased from both Niemoller and Bamboli, but I returned both products. I agree with the quality of Bamboli, excellent welding but little substance in terms of content. Niemoller is better but the batch I purchased had a manufacturing defect.

I bought it last April and I'm still trying to fix all the mistakes made during the restoration. I've already had the mechanics checked, which are now ok but I'm having problems with the float in the petrol tank which doesn't indicate the petrol level correctly.
Next week the car will go to the body shop for some touch-ups, in particular on the front grille: the battery cover has been improperly painted in the body color and will need to be restored to black.

Hello, your car should have the early type fuel sender, with an external float.  If a later sender, with an internal float has been fitted, without a matching gauge, then your fuel level readings won't be accurate, the sender and gauge need to match

That's the correct one, i think these were hard to source at one time, but both types seem to be available now, so they should have been able to fit the correct one.  Can't think what else would cause a gauge to misread, not that these gauges are very accurate at the best of times.  Is it the original gauge do you know?

This is not the original one but it is also available the original one, it is about price. Anyway I guess they use the wrong one on my w113, next days I will check and in case make a complaint.

Yes, you're 117, or red 2500. I liked my dealings with KHM very much, and they're in Europe, so I'd just ask them. That said, what exactly is wrong with your upholstery? It looks pretty nice, at least from where I sit 5000 miles away.

Thanks. I took a look at their website and they just offer leather, no MB tex. Anyway, I will write them.  My upholstery is ok, I just need some piece of tex to make some restoration next to the part where the sun visors are fixed.

Don't know if these are any good, they have a website, but the dark red isn't shown, they might be worth a try

I confirm that they installed the original one produced by Mercedes for the first series of the w113. However, the gauge rod continues to oscillate. Do you know if there should be bulkheads inside the tank, around the float? The mechanic told me that the problem could be due to the absence of bulkheads, but it seems strange to me because the accessories sheet does not provide for bulkheads even if they could be pre-installed inside the tank

I'm not sure what you mean by bulkheads in the fuel tank, the tanks are standard, there are no accessories available, they are built with everything required already in them

If your gauge needle oscillates, or flickers, and it bothers you, i think this is quote common with the early floats, perhaps prompting the change to the integral floats.  There is a fix, although i've never needed to try it

Looks like you might struggle to get an exact match, perhaps consider dying the new vinyl, especially if it's only a small area that needs patching, have a look on here for suggestions

Exactly I'm having trouble getting an exact match. I hadn't thought about painting the damaged part to replace. I'm waiting for samples, if I don't get an exact match I'll proceed as you suggested. I had already thought about having the vinyl insert on the ashtray painted, which I only found in black. Thanks

I when I did my restoration I bought sunvisors from Mercedes Benz Classic. They are expensive but are the “true” replacement, and the correct color.
