Horn ring finish on back

Hi folks
Took steering wheel off to get cars to the back of fuse box

On removing steering wheel, I note the horn ‘ring’ appears to have traces of black.
Wondering if all the back should be black, maybe to reduce reflections? If so Matt/statin/gloss?

Have seen both painted satin black(same as air filter canister) and mostly those just plain chrome.
Its up to you to decide the finish.
