Does my 123/Tune 6-R-V-M distributor need a ballast, and if so what type?
1970 280SL/8 W113 101624 miles.

Hi CJ i have just fitted a Blue tooth 123 ign on my car without anything more...! but i am still thinking about the right advance curve to set....!
Happy owner of a 69 blue 280SL ,  63 FHC  osb E-type , 55 FHC XK 140 to be restored...

Thanks Yves, I have heard that you don't need one, but I'm not certain.

I asked technical help at 123 twice, once for 280SL, once for 190SL - no ballast resistor needed.
