Late w111 3.5 coupe changes

Did the 280 SE 3.5 Coupe get the modern steering wheel and modern stick shift look during it’s life time, as seen in the picture?
I’ve read that the 280SL got the later steering wheel in the end of It’s prodiction cycle.

I look at these whenever they're on BaT and I've never seen one with this wheel. The shifter I can say for sure is a later innovation.

I bought a 3.5 sedan that had the floor shift manual transmission many years ago.  It was a Euro model.  I guess the coupe could have the same...

I think the late 280 that had this wheel was the mid-size 280 sedan (114?). My mom had a '73 with that wheel and a floor shift.

I also have never seen the modern steering wheel in a 111 or a 113 .
I am surprised that it even fits the steering column.
I have seen the modern shifter knob installed though.
