Remove Transmission Pan
« on: March 02, 2024, 22:56:25 »
I need to replace the cork gasket for the transmission pan.

To remove the pan the hollow tube for the fluid dipstick has to be taken off.

I assume the larger/outer of the two nuts needs to be loosened from the pan, but I cannot get it to budge.  Doesn’t the smaller/inner nut get held in place, then outer nut backed off?

Just checking to make sure it’s not reverse threaded or something else to be aware of.

I just found another thread and see I need to hold the inner nut and back off the outer nut like I suspected.

Thanks WRe, I removed the tube and pulled the pan yesterday.

Is the torque setting for the transmission pan bolts 8 Nm?

Thanks.

0,8mkp/8Nm is correct.

Thank you WRe.

I should have added I searched my Autobooks Owners Workshop Manual (could only find torque specs for the engine), this forum’s threads and Technical Manual and general internet where I finally came across the 8 Nm.

But I wanted to verify that spec!
