280SL tail light part number and watchouts?

I'm trying to track down a set of tail lights (all red) and bulb holders for my 68 280SL (I assume US production)
I was wondering:
1. if the correct part numbers are 113 826 0152 (left) and 113 826 0256 (right)
2. it seems the best resource (that has a number of options on an ongoing basis) is eBay (please let me know if others). Is there any "easy" way to tell if the tail lights being presented will fit for my vehicle? Or would any of that part number work (regardless of where delivered and when)?

Oh, I should mention that I do understand there are replacements available (new) at much lower cost...am just trying to get back to original parts as best as I can. I see a set currently on eBay at quite a price, but I assume that is simply the going rate.

I left it in German for a reason. It is easy to translate it via Google and in German there is far more information than in English.

I do not suppose that the part numbers will be helpful while buying on ebay. But anyway - to confirm fully your part numbers, your VIN is required as the part numbers work by VIN, not by year.

Part numbers you provided:
A1138260152 - it is the pert number just for lense (cover), not for lamp; yes, it is for the US, red blinker, left, UP TO CHASSIS 011040, replaced with two other part numbers, last one being the whole lamp (but I cannot tell if these replacements were all red)
A 1138260256 - this one is also lens, right hand side, but AS OF CHASSIS 011041 - so from a different set up

The right hand side to match your left hand side number would be A 113 826 02 52.

So first determination is:
1. Is your car US? You can find it:

2. The VIN number - is it above or below 011041?

On the 280, are new plastic lenses delivered in box with chrome as one piece, or are chrome surrounds purchased separately?

I think so. For AS OF 011041 you have:

Frames A 113 826 07 52 left, A 113 826 08 52 right and

Lenses A 113 826 01 56 left, A 113 826 02 56 right.

Other numbers for entire lamp assembly.

And be advised that new ones from Mercedes are no longer chrome-plated metal frames; they are plastic repros.
