Original color of manual gearbox 230SL 1965?

Does anybody know where I can find the original color code of the manual gearbox of a 230SL from 1965?
I hope it can be made like original again.

I use green etching primer in a spray can. Very close to the right colour and may be the same product.

This might be an obvious question but how did you get it to look so new?  Did you sandblast it?
