280 Drivers Seat
« on: July 25, 2023, 01:06:58 »
I am looking for a reasonably priced Driver seat, possibly pair of seats.

I will be recovering them, so don’t care about current condition, but would like to have hardware in reasonable condition.

Trying to save my current seats in their current state. Any leads? In Texas would be perfect 😉

i have one, it may be a passenger seat. but if you have parts you can easily make it a drivers seat.

I definitely need a driver seat, and hopefully something with decent hardware, but doesn’t need to be perfect

A little more information might help. Seat backs are interchangeable (driver/passenger) but passenger seat bottoms are not. However, some of the hardware from a passenger seat bottom MAY work on the drivers seat and some hardware may not - I don't know but maybe someone with more experience can answer that. And does your car have headrests or not.

What we are all reading right now is that you need a seat. Is it possible you just need some parts?

I have a drivers seat with a headrest from a 280sl that is in the car with all hardware etc.

I would like to recover the seats, but that drivers seat has a back story due to some damage, and I would like to put it in my garage and just buy another seat to replace it. At the end of the day, I guess a driver seat bottom in reasonable condition for an easy recover could also work.
