Fuel pump issues M130.980
« on: June 03, 2023, 13:15:56 »
First day back with car after new head, valves etc. Drove 150 miles or so on I-40 in hot weather with AC with no issues. Then driving around town the engine stumbled and then dies. Started back up after 15 seconds but then dies again. I go back to check fuel pump and it is making intermittent whining noises and I am hearing the dripping back in of return fuel but its not steady and happens when the pump whine changes. The pump is freshly rebuilt and bench tested by Mr. Youngman.
Any thoughts?
Included is a zip file of a .mov file that is a recording of the whine.

You have my address I always stand behind my work. As we just discussed on the phone check the screens and then if that is not issue send back and I can bench test. The sound change is usually from a change in lubricant (gas) in the pump itself.
