Spot welds in door jambs
« on: May 17, 2023, 20:59:15 »
We are in the process of repainting my 1968 280SL.  In stripping down paint, we can see that the right rear quarter panel has previously been repaired/replaced and that there are visible spot welds where the rear quarter panel is attached to the door jamb.  The left side is smooth or leaded in.  I just want to confirm if it should be smooth or spot welds visible, like the front fenders in the engine bay. Thanks for any help.
