Tail light reflectors
« on: April 27, 2023, 15:47:22 »
Not sure if this post belongs here but.. I’m refurbishing my tail lights and I’m at the point where I’m looking at the light reflectors.. the chrome “ paint” is almost worn away.. I’ve tried a rattle can chrome paint.. it’s just an aluminium grey really.. ant ideas or suggestions.. I’d be most grateful.. reluctant to buy replica aftermarket ones..

Hi Brennie,

See my thread on headlights - I may do this for my tail light reflectors too.

Also I do know that white is an excellent reflector in taillights, haven't tried it myself but have read and seen results on other car forums but its also dependant on whether you are using LEDs or standard factory globes. LEDs will generally give you higher illumination so thus aluminium or other reflectors (other than sliver) that might reflect lower amounts than silver is not noticeable.
