Lazy writing on the journalist’s part; “Known as the Pagoda because of its removable hardtop,”, of course he should have written that it was the shape of the hardtop that gives the car its name.

As mentioned in another similar thread, there are a lot of these articles to be found in various car magazines and online commemorating 60 years of the Pagoda.

I’m looking forward to seeing how members here celebrate this milestone; personally I’m pleased to be joining the Pagoda Rally in Germany this August.

One can't always blame the writer.  Sometimes it's the editor.  When faced with fitting a submission into so many column inches, editors must find a way to shorten the content without fundamentally altering the essence of the story.  An adjective here, a descriptive element there, rewording a phrase for brevity and pretty soon it fits!

I find a lot of articles written these days that lack writing style. M  as the they are written by AI tools?

Hopefully this doesn't conflict!
