If i remember correctly this tire test report was discussed in a previous thread a while back.  Somethings to consider:

       1. Report was from 2016 - 7 years old
       2. Done with a modern Porsche on a wet test track at high speeds.
     
How can you compare tire performance from a 7 year old report done on a modern Porsche tested on a wet track at high speeds and to how the tires would perform on a 50 year old Pagoda that most of us drive at normal speeds on dry roads?

Personally I have Blockely white walls (purchased at a discount thru the sl113 group buy) and they perform great on dry roads at 70 mph.

If someone drives a Pagoda on a wet road at high speeds to see how the tires perform, I would questions a few things and certainly not perforamnce of the tires.

The original poster posted two posts... one with a spam link and this one -- with a link to an article -- in English. And indeed, that is from july 2016 but it reviews among others the Vredestein Classic Sprint and the Blockley. I'm note sure tires for classics are modified that often...

I mailed him, and banned him from the forum and deleted his posts (hence: 0 posts). So not that strange. I then decided that perhaps the article in the link (not in the picture) was worth reading and moved it back from the bin to the forum.

He won't be posting again...

You do remember correctly.

What apparently might be useful for many of our members is a tire test using a variety of sizes, since there are so few tires made in the correct, 185 HR 14.

So it would be great to have a tire test using P195-75, 205/70, etc., and all the other not originally fitted tire sizes but tires that fit and are being used.

And it should be done with a $150 per tire price ceiling. All brands welcome—Maxxis, Hankook, General, Cooper, etc.

I don’t think it will never happen. 😉
