Deutsche Klassic in Atlanta Oktober 29, 2022
« on: October 07, 2022, 03:34:34 »
Hello Pagoda friends!

The second annual Deutsche Klassic is happening in Norcross, GA (Atlanta area) on October  29, 2022.  It's all German cars 25 years or older.  Check out the link.  They had a good showing last year in general, not sure how many W113s.

I will be there with my recent Pagoda acquisition along with my brother and his '90 420SEL.  If anyone is planning to go, lemme know!

If you use "German", you should try to do it properly. "Klassik" is pelled with a "k" in the end, not a "c" 8)

I attended my first ever car show with my Pagoda, the 2nd Annual Deutsche Klassic, in Norcross, GA this past weekend. It was for German cars 25 years and older and there was a great turnout of cars and attendees.  Great weather and lots of fun!
I’m pictured below with my 280SL next to my brother and his beautiful 1990 420SEL.  Also included are two posters I put together summarizing the Survivor Story history of my 280SL.

In terms of Pagodas, there were only two of us, but we represented well.

Finally, it was great to meet fellow sl113 member John Reid and his wife, who came by to introduce himself.  We're going to try to organize an Atlanta area Pagoda meet down the road.

Will,

Those are great posters!  You have a lot to be proud of with that car.

You and John should start planning/promoting your Atlanta meet for this summer.  Scheduling is easy, just slot it between the Pagodas at Sandhills Motoring Festival (SC) at the end of May and Pagoda Fest 2023 (Chicago) at the end of Sept.  I'm sure you could pull some owners/members from FL, AL, SC, and TN.  Find a venue and add yourself as another 60th Anniversary Pagoda Event.  Anyone can do this, and it's worth the effort!  It doesn't have to be a big Pagoda Fest production, just a casual meet-up in a nice place near food.  It's so much fun meeting new people and seeing all the cars.
