300SL roadster toy car
« on: September 29, 2022, 17:26:32 »
Yesterday, whilst visiting a friend's bodyshop, I saw in there a beautiful children's version of a 300SL roadster (Like the Gullwing but convertible).
The build quality was quite stunning with fibre glass body, all chrome parts being cast metal, a single cylinder petrol engine in the back, single leather seat almost capable of taking an adult.
I wasn't allowed to take pictures but it was exquisite. Anybody heard of one of these before?

I am very picky calling people "friend" and use the term "acquaintance" more often. Someone who would not allow me to take a picture of this, would definitely not be a friend.....

My friend owns a bodyshop and is doing work on the car. Since he didn't own the car he quite rightly denied me permission to take photgraphs because that permission wasn't his to give. I'd likely do the same.

The DB5 is quite fetching.

According to Classic & Sports Car, they even make a "Vantage" version for only £45k . . .

Interesting. I give permission to take pictures because no one knows who the owners are - only I know that. So, it's just a picture of A car, not the owner sitting in it. I've never had a problem with that and never had an owner complain or warn me not to let folks take pictures. The whole thing sounds over stated to me.
