Cocomats
« on: September 22, 2022, 20:35:53 »
To all UK members

I'm considering ordering a set of Cocomats from the US

They tell me there is no longer a group discount in place, unless anyone knows different?

However, in October/November they will release a voucher for what they think will be a 15% discount

If anyone wants to order a set, i'm happy to add to my order, which will reduce postage.  Still need to pay the unavoidable taxes though

If i've calculated correctly, the difference on a 4 piece set is:

Without the discount with shipping for one set is £ 417.00 including taxes

With discount and shipping for two sets is £ 349.00 per set including taxes

Maths was never my strong suit, so i'll make sure i confirm prices before i order

I'll post them on to you in the UK for the cost of RM or courier, whichever is the cheapest, probably around £ 10.00

Please message me or e-mail bob@afssltd.com if you're interested

Hi Bob
I guess you missed out on our group last order - I just went and searched for it and realised it was over 14 years ago! :o

Assuming it's still Drew, he happily shipped 2/3 sets in a pack and we did local distribution this end.

They are WELL worth the cost though.

They also make a trunk mat to match the floormats. Unlike the original M-B gray mats, it has a dimpled rubber backing that allows some air circulation between the rubber and the metal trunk floor.  Bear in mind that it is quite a bit thicker than the original mat and there is not enough clearance left for the wheel chock to fit on the horizontal spare pedestal bracket.  That said, it really dresses up the trunk, items do not slide around so much and allows one to preserve the original mat for judged shows.

I received an email yesterday as a Mercedes Benz Club member that shows Coco Mats offering MBCA members an exclusive 15% discount from October 4-9th with code MBCA22 from October 4-9, 2022. I purchased my set in 2020 and they are a super quality and make a collector's car look fantastic!

The recent email from MBCA advertising Cocomats and a MBCA Discount references and pictures a Special Equipment Catalog (19004) - Edition B (picture attached.)  I an trying to find that catalog and have tried unsuccessfully on Ebay.  Anyone have any ideas.  I would like to make a good picture similar to what they show as I have below

I had a trunk mat made last year in black herringbone (#22, figured matching my red ones might be a bit too bright) and it turned out really well.

One thing I did have to custom order was a smaller mat to replace the rubber piece that is tucked away on the far right of the trunk, the other side of the spare wheel.
