Good price based entirely on provenance. Will be interesting to hear if 1) it is restored to its original specifications (costly) or 2) retained as is and enjoyed. Either way, a great story and wonderful to hear the story and the Stirling Moss tradition Pagoda continues.
I hope the new owner is in this group, and will keep us all updated.

In the same auction, they sold a Ford Escort turbo that had been owned by Lady/Princess Diana

That went for over 700,000…. :o
