Hood gap correction

Hi friends,
What do you suggest to use in order to get a perfect panel gap fit, any suggestions in order to obtain a 4 mm gap all around?

Coincidentally I came across this last night, video from Eastwood on how to do panel gap on a trunk lid - same idea. Using filler rather than lead. Watch as from the 4:58 minute mark:

I would check 5 times if it cannot be adjusted before I start using a file...
