Reassembling door handles
« on: August 31, 2021, 16:01:47 »
I'm reassembling my door handles after returning from rechroming and  can't figure out how the two eared spring fits into the door handle. Does it fit around the two copper coloured pins or inside them. It seems to be either too large or small in either position. Something must locate this spring so that it returns the the key to a vertical position.

Pictures on the forum don't help me.

Gordon, don't know if this will help you.  Unfortunately I did not take a picture of the sequence when i took mine apart a few years ago.  Arrows point to the spring.

Thanks Jordan, that was helpful. I didn't realize that the return spring crossed over behind the projecting pin. Many thanks
