Looking For Part! Or Part Number!

Looking for a Brake master Cylinder brepair kit for 1963 Mercedes 230SL. Or a part number PLEASE!

Get a new MC. I never rebuild them.

New master cylinder is around $260 at AutohausAZ. They don't carry a rebuild set it seems but perhaps other suppliers do.

@ Dan, I did rebuild the master brake cylinder in my Lancia, it should be able to work fine, provided the metal parts are in good condition? It's normally just the seals that wear out? Will find out once I start driving it.

I don't really understand the hesitancy to rebuild a brake master cylinder.  I understand as a business to reduce liability but a new MC can fail too.  I used to rebuild my other MC's and never once had a failure.  As a owner I don't have an issue rebuilding one.  Maybe I am missing something though.

"Rebuilding" is one of these terms that can mean a lot of things.
Replacing seals and O-rings is perfectly fine. Replacing the piston in a worn cylinder is not.

I had the same "choice" with wheel cylinders in the drum brakes.

I bought complete new parts but when I stripped the old, rusty looking, leaky ones down the "soft parts" had failed due to age but the cylinder bore and pistons were as good as new so I have bought a seals kit and rebuilt them as spares.

That's what I would recommend the OP on this thread does.
