4spd Manual transmission

Could someone tell what this is circled red on the side of a manual 4spd transmission ? a friend has evidence of a very
Minor weep in this area.

Looks like the part that holds the reverse gear in place. Put a small copper seal under the washer and some sealer on the threads of the shaft which should help to stop any leaking.
