He did my 280 pump. Very thorough, but surprised it came back without any caps / protection to keep contamination out.

Hi! Was the pump packed good? Have you restored it cosmetically also ?
Is enough to put back the pump into the engine and everything should work fine ? No other settings ?

- Was packed ok, bubble wrap
- No ... did not do a cosmetic "look and feel"
- Will let you know in one week. Will put engine back into my car tomorrow. Then reconnect rest during next week ... and then turn magic key ...

What does he charge you?

He charged me around 1800€ for full rebuild including the galvanization but it’s difficult to get a quote in advance because you never know what is inside the pump . I guess in the worst scenario no more than 2500€.
Probably my case is more expensive but I have a different situation. I have a 250sl with a 280sl injection pump and he has to modify and calibrate for a 250sl and put a new space cam nr 8.
Please let me know once you put back the pump in your car because I would like to know what is the procedure and if something else is needed.
