Old air conditioner NO LONGER AVAILABLE
« on: May 07, 2021, 20:43:45 »
Have an old air conditioner with all items associated with it for free. Need to come by if you are in the area of Roland Arkansas. Am restoring my car but have no plans of putting the air conditioner back in.

Not worth the shipping cost. It never cooled since we owned the car, most likely no Freon.

It's worth boxing and shipping, make someone pay you accordingly.  Just my 2 cents...

From my experience in restoring my 280SL AC system the only item worth preserving is the evaporator unit which also gives a tone of originality to the car. Everything else has to be renewed including compressor, condenser (with slim electric cooling fan), filter dryer and all refrigerant hoses.

Right.

Help a brotha out.

The evaporator would not be that big a deal to ship and will be worth $$ to someone here.

The condensor and compressor and lines can be junked IMHO.  Most people upgrade to parallel flow and R134 Sanden-style respectively.
