Looks very nice Dirk!
Where did you have it painted?
Don't worry about the assembly, it is just "the reverse".  ;)

Al, you should have your butt kicked.  I've spent half of my life, if not more, in the "reverse" you mentioned.

Awesome.  Amazing to see it painted.  Congratulations.  Now plan to have it ready to drive to the next PUB ( wherever it may be).

All, thank you for the nice comments.
Alfred, the guy I had to paint my car originally, passed away. I shopped around for quiet a bit. I ended up with a shop in Orange County, Rhinetrade. When I visited him, he had two Pagodas in his shop which I took as a good sign. I still supplied them with a little folder / picture, describing what and how it should be done. (Absolutely necessary IMO)
It took quiet some time to finish the car. Their hole crew was out with Covid in-between.....However that allowed me to finish and rebuild most of the mechanical components (on the upside).
Tom, how is the Hard Top going?

Hi Dirk,
Thanks for asking.  Your car is beautiful in that color.  I'm beginning to regret that mine is Dark Blue.  It's a color hard to keep clean and sparkling, even in the garage.  The A220 sitting next to it drops snow and mud all over the floor for 6 months out of the year here in Quebec which is easy to track everywhere when wet and makes lots of fine dust when dry.
My top is going slowly, primarily because of my insecurity (fear of screwing something up).  Fortunately, we have quite a few very knowledgeable and experienced people here who don't hesitate to advise and warn of potential pitfalls.  I'm still working on the two headliners.  The big main one and the front dam mini-headliner.  I love Contact Cement because it's quick and durable and hate it because it's unforgiving of errors.
Have fun putting yours back together.

Sead, nice.
Yup, I think I started in 2015. Originally, I just wanted to do some basic maintenance to keep going. But once I started, it got worse every time I touched something. And here we are. Looking forward to working with "clean" parts from now on.

Hi Steve,
I think Sead is a bit ahead of me. I am working on the blacked out faces in the engine compartment....I remember talking to you when you were welding. How far are you?
