Becker radio on data card
« on: January 09, 2021, 01:15:33 »
Hi
I have a Becker radio in my 280sl but the data card doesn’t seem to have the 515. Is it possible that the car could have an original Becker radio but not be mentioned on the data card. Trying to figure out. Photo attached

Thanks

From your plate it's likely that the radio was installed by the dealer

I disagree.  I think you need the data card, not the data plate (as photographed) to see all of the options.
Usually dealer-installed radios were Blaupunkt, factory radios were Becker.

My factory installed Becker is shown on the data plate as well as on the data card but I agree, the data card will provide the definitive answer as to factory installation.

I stand corrected. I was going off my data plate which shows my Europa stereo (USA) radio, but mine is a USA model, so perhaps it is different elsewhere and, as Scoot says, the data card will show the ultimate story.
