I have watched this gentleman for years test different things , he is paid by no supplier and  uses a very scientific approach.  He put this one up on ethanol and how it affects aluminum and other things inside a carburetor which is also applicable to our fuel injection systems. He is testing if stabilizer helps. I found this to be very Illuminating on the detrimental effects ethanol has on all of our parts. If you don't see anything else go to 4 minutes and 19 seconds into the video and see what 9 months does to a piece of aluminum in gasoline with 10% ethanol and some water contamination...scary

Hi,
in contrast to this contribution, the Mobile Future Institute (IMZU) carried out a long-term test with 20 vintage cars of different ages and almost 1 million kilometers covered for E10 compatibility with the result that in no case did this cause any damage.
The vintage car magazine Oldtimer Markt reported: "Three years after the introduction of the" biofuel type "Super E10, it is time to take stock. Has the state-prescribed alcohol consumption harmed our old sweetheart? The answer is soberingly simple: No!".
The discussion about petrol, engine oil etc. and their possible additives couldn't be more controversial because it concerns our "Heiligs Blechle".

Since non-ethanol fuel isn't easy to find my Pagoda has used it for 20 years. The only known damage was a fuel hose at the tank to fuel pump at the rear of the car. But, I used marine stabilizer when storing and "dry gas" with that first tankful in spring.

I have a slew of vintage motorcycles in which I have used non-ethanol gas for the last few years. Even on a new BMW, I had a problem with a fuel line elbow, made of plastic, coming apart because of ethanol fuel. I am trying to stay away from ethanol fuel for everything that is not being used on a daily, or almost daily basis.

I've never had any problems except for the same fuel hose that goes from the pump to the main fuel line. That hose was a weak link anyway and I won't say that ethanol played a part in its demise. We will be going up to 15% ethanol in Ontario somewhere in the future. I'm not sure if that would cause problems or not if 10% didn't.
