W111 Cabrio Gearbox Mount Screw
« on: November 15, 2020, 15:02:58 »
Hi Gents,

This is quite a difficult one so my hopes of a solution are low but here goes.

I am changing out the rear (gearbox) mount and discovered that it's a mess. Wrong mount, wrong fixing, etc. Anyway I bought some new hardware including a new mounting bolt (part No 6) on the diagram. i bought a bolt for the 230SL thinking it might do, but it is too short. Part No 1112400071.

Can anyone with the online EPC net thing identify the correct part number for me?
Chassis 111.023.10.038868.

Or does anyone know how long this screw should be? It would be easy to buy one from a bolt company if I knew this.

Without knowing either of the above I cannot compress the mount appropriately to dimenison "a"

Regards

Peter

WRe,

Thanks again for your response. I believe you are correct.

I am about to order...from Mercedes...at 25 Euros.

The saga continues...

Mercedes does not have any of these in stock, despite showing so in their online parts website.

Do any Pagoda owners have any advice on how to set up the screw. It must follow the same principle that there is either a small gap at the top (as the diagram appears to show) or not? I can't work out why there would be a gap.

Any advice welcome.
