Had an early start this morning to get bus and three trains back to London

Just about to leave and realised I didn’t have my wallet. Searched everywhere and still no wallet. I figured I could quickly retrace my steps on the way to the bus stop.

I went for a drink with a friend last night and fortunately we sat outside and it seems my wallet spent the night drinking…

Found on the floor under the bench I sat on!

James……
That wallet is just confused.  ???

After accompanying its owner for drinks in at least three countries over the last week, it was just looking for a little peace and quite!

Special thanks to Rick, Peter M. and everyone else who contributed to making this year's Euro Tour another success.

Great drives, beautiful scenery, delicious food and drink, and terrific fellowship. It's just too bad we can't do these trips more often, but maybe missing out last year made it all that more special.

Was happy to see a couple of other daughters went along for the rides this year, along with my Hailey. She had a great time, as did I.

For those of you who couldn't make the Euro trip of 2021, here's a video of Saturday's drive up into the Alps from the dash of my 230 SL, condensed in time lapse to 6 minutes. The last minute or two are from our departure from the hotel on Sunday as we headed back north into Germany.

Enjoy ... and try not to get dizzy watching my high-speed Pagoda!  ;)

Hello Brian,

Please, is there a way to let the video run slowly - in realtime so to say?

Achim, no. It's a time lapse. Real time would be about 8 hours long.  ;)

Thanks Brian for this nice video.
I suppose you have a "dash cam".
If you download the file (be sure that you have enough memory on your device, because it is 1020 MB), you may edit it with a video editor, cut the parts you are interested in, and "expand"them to get  them at the real speed. It will give a perfect and complete view of the saturday trip.
I have been busy this week with my own video, and will post it soon.
Thanks again to the organizing teams, and to all the particpants, it was a wonderful event !

This Euro Event was Fantastic.  Very glad I made the journey.

The team did an incredible job of organizing the fabulous resort, routes, food, sites, Tirolian regalia, shirts and even goody bags.

Peter March, Johannes and Rick Bond — your efforts, and the local team that supported you, created a spectacular event. And you did it during a very trying time of Covid.  Unbelievable and so appreciated.

The event was a bright spot in a dismal year

I shot some random footage during our tours and somehow never captured Peter M. who was ever-present and even after hurting his knee, made sure he was leading the way, taking care of our comfort.  My apologies.

The link is to Google photos - turn up the volume and set to full screen - it’s about 4 minutes.

Thanks for all the effort !!!

Brian,

Looks like a wonderful time was had by all. Love that you are getting the next generation involved.

As an officer of the club, I am concerned as to the excessive speed reached while I was watching the video.  I thought the Euro VDO speedometers maxed out at 220 kph.  Looks like over 700 to me.

Much thanks to Peter , Rick , and Johannes for all the planning that went into this event.  And for ordering the perfect weather.

This was another wonderful European Event. It was great to see old friends and meet new friends as well. Like others have said before, this group is about the people.

Of course we enjoy our cars to the fullest, but to enjoy our cars with like-minded people during such an event is hard describe.

Rick and Peter and their team did a fantastic job! Thank you so much. Even the weather was great.

I've shot a few photos. Enjoy.

We seem to have a few great film producers amongst our group.

Dolly and I have just spent the afternoon watching the videos and pictures and feeling very jealous.

Thank you ,

all for attending and your positive and really hartwarming reactions during and after our 2021 Euro Event.

And what a event it turned out to be again. First of all the weather which was all we hoped for, clear blue skies every day throughout the Event.
We think everyone liked the Hotel, the surroundings , the tours , the lunches and general atmosphere among the attendees.

What really surprised me after organizing a few events is the general state of our cars. I saw no major problems besides a headlamp or a misaligned gearlever ( Brian  :) ).
Especially since most of us had to drive sometimes more then a 1000 km to get to the event and another 1000 to get back home. Makes you respect our cars even more.

Before we sign off we are working on the last details, but i would like to give special thanks to my friend Peter March  for all  his work and the fun he brings working with him.
Also his friend Tom who stepped up at the last moment to assist us , and helped out when Peter busted his knee.
From the 4 Events i was a part of we did 2 Events together and really thank you Peter we couldn't have don it without you.

Financially I'm working on the last details and payments and will give you the balance next week on how we ended up.

There will be no European Event next year, so we can all visit Chicago in '22 , then there is a 60 year anniversary in '23 , but I'm sure in '24 there Will be a next Pagoda Euro Event.
like to thank you all for attending and the warm response afterwards, it made it all worth it.

On behalf off the 2021 Pagoda Euro Event team,

Greetings and hope to see you all again soon.

Rick, thanks again for all the work you guys put into this event. It showed. Beyond the organizational perfection, the camraderie and passion of this group is remarkable. Which is a big reason why we always look forward to the next event.

For the record, the "misaligned gear lever" was definitely not a mechanical issue. Purely a major operator error!   ;)

On to Chicago!
